The standard of the school program is reflected in advanced placement - first year college/university level - requirements that the Academy's high school academic scholars must successfully complete and fulfill in order to enter university.
At the Academy, the classroom experience is not the traditional pedagogical experience where the teacher functions as a spout and the student as receptacle. Rather, the student’s innate forces and abilities are tapped and harnessed. Given small class sizes, students are constantly challenged intellectually through the use of engaging, carefully-selected, up-to-date text-books.
Following a U.S. testing model, specially graded tests are given regularly throughout the school year across the school curriculum to ensure sustained progress towards the goal of student success at tertiary-level entrance examinations.
The Academy is run by the Directors of the AlphaMax Foundation, who, with a dedicated and qualified cadre of teachers, render high-level, qualitative, individual attention and teaching to the student body. The school's success is reflected in international English examination scores and in the acceptance of its graduates at colleges and universities in the United States of America, Europe, Canada, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America.
Classes at the Academy are conducted by a 15-member team of qualified and experienced teachers.
Students at AlphaMax regularly take the following International Tests and Examinations:
ACT ( since 2004), PSAT(since 2005),GAC ( since 2007),and IELTS( since 2011).
AlphaMax Academy's CEEB's code is 943000.
AlphaMax Academy is the only TEST center in Suriname for ACT and IELTS.
AlphaMax Academy is the only institution in the Caribbean doing the Global Assessment Program.
