The second semester of the Global Asssessment Program began on Jan 21.
In this section of the program students will do modules in Science and Business Studies in addition to the other modules in Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing, Data Management and Math.

AlphaMax Academy - Suriname's Premier English Language School. Since 1998 AlphaMax Academy has delivered a Classics values based educational program in English designed for Surinamese students. Its graduates have gone on to universities in several international countries including the UK, the Caribbean,Holland,the US and China. Alphamax is the Suriname center for ACT, GAC and IELTS. AlphaMx students have been doing ACT (since 2004), PSAT ( since 2005), GAC ( since 2007)and IELTS (since 2011).

GAC Level 2 Classes begin
Parent Teachers Meetings
Meeting with parents will take place at AlphaMax Academy on Feb 12 and 13.
On Feb 12 the meeting will be for parents of lower and middle school. The Feb. 13 meeting will be for parents of high school and GAC students.
Both meetings are scheduled for 7.00 p.m.

The Games are On!
The annual inter collegiate games will be held on from Feb 28 to March 8.
The competing schools are: AlphaMax Academy; Netherlands Lyceum; Christian Liberty
Academy; and the International Academy of Suriname.
Athletics will be held on the weekend of the 28th and the 29th of February.
Teams will compete in Football, Basketball, and Volleyball. Individuals will compete in Track and Tennis. This year football will have 2 sections. There will be a competition for students 13 and under. There will be another competition for students 14 and above.
The team games will be on a knock out basis.
In Track each institution will select two athletes to enter each event.
