Its graduates have gone on to universities in several international countries including the UK, the Caribbean,Holland,the US and China. Alphamax is the Suriname center for ACT, GAC and IELTS. AlphaMx students have been doing ACT (since 2004), PSAT ( since 2005), GAC ( since 2007)and IELTS (since 2011).

Art Exhibition and cultural evening to honor Tagore at Fort Zeelandia
In May 2011 there was an art exhibition and cultural evening which included dance and poetry at Fort Zeelandia. This event was co-sponsored by Art-Vibes, ICC and the AlphaMax Academy.
AlphaMax Academy began the celebration of o a year of activities revolving around India’s poet laureate Tagore in Suriname with the Fort Zeelandia presentation.
Other activities in close collaboration with the Embassy of India and the Indian Cultural Center of Suriname during that year included:
The Tagore Bust-unveiling ceremony on June 4th, 2011, where Suriname’s First Lady Ingrid Waldring-Bouterse unveiled the bust with Ambassador K.J.S. Sodhi.
One of the highlights of the Tagore bust-unveiling ceremony was the ICC-sponsored Bihu Dance Troupe which had travelled from Assim, India, to perform. This was their premiere performance in Paramaribo.
Activities also included creative writing and art competitions for students and also adults in Suriname. The panel of judges included members of the University of Suriname, Schrijvers Groep ‘77, and prominent artists. The Awards ceremony was held at the Anton de Kom University of Suriname last October.
Finally, there were also lectures and video presentations on the life and work of Tagore at various venues.

Tree Planting Ceremony at AlphaMax Academy
On May 5th, the AlphaMax Academy was the recipient of 6 young citrus trees. The trees were donated by a goodwill organization in Suriname, one of whose goals is to highlight the need for food security and raise environmental awareness around the country
.
One of the school’s parents – Ms. Sima Jimidar – who is also involved in the organizing committee of the Miss Suriname beauty pageants, helped arrange for Miss Suriname herself, the runner-up of the Miss Suriname pageant and the 2011 Little Miss Suriname to be present and assist the students of AMA with planting the trees.
The trees were placed in the schoolyard of the new AlphaMax complex in the Staanvaste straat, and were a welcome addition to the neighborhood scenery

Bust of Distinguished Indian Poet to be installed at AlphaMax Academy on Sat 14May
Alphamax Academy has been selected as the site for a bust of Dr. Rabindrath Tagore. Tagore is India's most celebrated person in the arts. He is India’s Poet Laureate, Bengali Poet & Writer, Nobel Prize Winner, International Humanist & Educator, Artist, Dramatist, Dance Choreographer, Music Composer, Song Writer, Singer, Educator, Philosopher, Spiritualist, Orator
Born in Bengal, India, Rabindranath Tagore was the youngest and fourteenth child of his parents, Devendranath Tagore and Sarada Devi. He was born into a distinguished family. His brothers and sisters excelled as poets, musicians, playwrights and novelists; thus, the Tagore home was filled with musical, literary, and dramatic pursuits.
